Youth Apprenticeship News

Procter & Gamble would like to invite students in Grades 10, 11 and 12 to apply for the Youth Apprenticeship Program. This program is designed for students who would like to become an apprentice and get paid to learn!

Interested students should contact the Guidance Office for more information.

NTIEC applications can be obtained by calling 278-5038.

Scholarships

AXA Achievement Scholarship "Are you active in your community? Have you led a project that benefits others? Have you overcome personal challenges? You may qualify for $10,000 or $25,000" Apply at www.axa-achievement.com. Deadline is Decemeber 15, 2009

Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarships: High school seniors who planning careers of service to the United States in local, state, or federal government. Entrants receiving full four-year scholarships shall be eligible only for one-year special awards. Awards for those entering Armed Forces Colleges are eligible for one-year special awards. Application online at www.gwcf.org. Must be RECEIVED BY January 15, 2010

NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation Scholarship: High school senior entering an accredited, nonprofit two- or fouryear college or vocational/technical institute for the full 2010-2011 academic year should demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and initiative, such as:
o starting his or her own business;
o participation in organizations such as DECA, Future Business Leaders of America(FBLA), Junior Achievement and The National Foundation for Teaching
Entrepreneurship, among others; or
o through other initiatives
Note: You should consider any endeavors or work experience you have offered as a community service. For example: babysitting, lawn care, dog walking, tutoring, etc. An officially established business is not a requirement. Apply online at www.NFIB.com/yea. Deadline is December 31, 2009
