Montrose Golf Team

8-31-10 Montrose defeated Lackawanna Trail 7 ½ to 1 ½ with
Very consistent play again from Cole Wheaton-Billy Stranburg and
Jordan Smith along with some solid play from Lance Nealy—Casey
O’Reilly-Dan Engilsh enable the team to stay undefeated at 3 and 0.
Other previous wins where against Mt View and Lakeland. Next Match
Is Thursday against Blue Ridge. Thanks for your support.

| Starting on Monday, August 30, the late buses will be leaving @ 6PM Monday thru Thursday only. On Friday's the late bus will be leaving at their normal time of 5:30pm. |

Montrose Varsity Football Rules and Practice Schedule
1) All practices from August 16th until the end of the season all mandatory! This includes Saturday morning film sessions.
2) Any player who accumulates 3 unexcused absences will have his playing time reduced.
3) Any absence is to be discussed with me prior to its occurrence. I will decide whether the absence is acceptable or unexcused.
4) Excused absences will include:
a) Any day a student is not in school.
b) Absences accompanied by a doctor’s note.
c) Serious family issues.
5) Any other issues will be discussed among me, the player, and his parent(s).
6) General practice schedule:
- daily after school
- Labor Day and Columbus Day – 9:00 – 11:00 am
- Saturday mornings from 9:00 – 11:00 (??? Maybe 11:30)
6) Practice for the week of August 16th, 2010:
- Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Friday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Saturday – scrimmage at Wyalusing starts at 10 am – bus at 7:45 am
7) Players will not be permitted to leave the school grounds during double sessions. They must bring their own lunch (11:00 – 12:30) and will be provided a snack and break from 3:00 – 4:00.
8) Practices for Monday the 23rd and Tuesday the 24th are still to be determined and will be posted to the school website when plans are finalized.
